HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
A year ago today Steve Jobs shut down iWeb and I moved over to WordPress here and I had absolutely no idea what blogging was about (and I guess I probably still don’t, really) and I migrated over my 58 movies I had web pages for. The place over on iWeb was basically just a place for my friend Lem and a few other folks to go check out some movies I had watched and right when I had it figured out, Apple closed it so I came here. I had no idea about tagging anything or categorizing anything or making friends and being social and my first August out here I got, dum ta dum, 160 hits! Then the next entire month of September I got – 80!! We were really smoking!!
Nowadays things have gotten more prosperous when it comes to that stat but most importantly I figured out that it’s OK to make friends and read other people’s work and that YOU ARE AWESOME!! I feel like I actually have some friends out here that I would never have ever, ever met in the world and that makes doing this fun and it’s great for my brain and I have a LOT of fun with this. I would always love it if we agreed on everything but we each have our own opinions and disagreements are fun too, as long as nobody starts throwing poop like some sort of monkey.
Luckily I’ve never really experienced any negativity out here (aside from my coworker who tends to yell at me occasionally – whistles…..) and I’ve gotten back to my roots with a bunch of 70s horror projects and we’ve made some videos and once we made the worst song ever in human history and this has all been Good Times. Unlike other things I’ve done in my life (and some of my other WP blogs), I’ve never felt burdened by this and I get excited to watch something and spread the word and have fun.
We’ve had good fun with “creative” writing at places like THIS and HERE and made a fun STAFF page and I’ve gotten a lot of fun feedback from MOST UNCLEAN. I think the most fun of all of the projects I’ve done out here is THE GROUP OF GIRLS TRAPPED SOMEWHERE BEING PICKED OFF ONE BY ONE even though I always enjoy firing up a Giallo and checking out the atmosphere and feel of the 70s (except for this CRAP) SQUAWK!!!!!!!
I guess that’s enough. I don’t want to keep sounding overly mushy, it’s just that I have a lot of fun doing this and I thank you all for everything! You Good People are the best!! That picture up top is how I do most of my work for this place on my little TV with my wicked headphones and if there’s one word to describe this thing here, it’s SWEET!!

P.S. – these days we have a few more “followers” than the three (myself, WJ and SK) we had back in August of last year so I think I’ll do a “retro” week and post some of my old faves so some of our newer Good and Perfect Friends can revisit some of the old crap I wrote : )
